EVERYBODY STREET
|
“Everybody Street illuminates the lives and work of New York’s iconic street photographers and the incomparable city that has inspired them for decades. The documentary pays tribute to the spirit of street photography through a cinematic exploration of New York City, and captures the visceral rush, singular perseverance and at times immediate danger customary to these artists. Covering nine decades of street photography, “Everybody Street” explores the careers and influences of many notable photographers––a number of whom have never been documented, featuring: Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Jill Freedman, Bruce Gilden, Joel Meyerowitz, Rebecca Lepkoff, Mary Ellen Mark, Jeff Mermelstein, Clayton Patterson, Ricky Powell, Jamel Shabazz, Martha Cooper, and Boogie, with historians Max Kozloff and Luc Sante.''

Bruce Davidson took photographs of what he saw around him and he would go to any length to take these photographs, some of he photograph have meaning to them, for example, there is a photo of a young boy with a kitten and a sleeping bag and it looks like there is a story to the photo. The boy looks like he is homeless but its he looks like he has lots of emotion in the photograph and it has all been captured in the image. Because the background is blurred it makes him stand out in the photo. Also there is photograph of a lady sitting on a park bench with her two dogs next to her she looks like she's happy theres a photo getting taken of he, she looks proud with her dogs with her. I think his photographs are very different there is none that is the same thats what makes some of his photographs unique. The only thing that is the same in the photographs are they are black and white and i think it makes the image better because it stands out more and its strong colours.

Shadows and Reflections
These are my shadows and reflection images. Our aim was the find interesting shadows and reflections. We went out side and it was raining which made more interesting reflections because of the puddles reflected. I like the 4th picture because the whole picture is reflection, the lockers and the picture in the background and the shadow of the lights. I think all of these are interesting because they are all very different in there own way like the 1st one has reflections of the building and trees and the 2nd one is a small shadow instead of a big shadow and the 3rd one has got a shadow of the tree branches and the 5th one is a shadow of the school behind us and a tree. looking down
These are my looking down photos. We had to go round the school and take pictures of looking down, some of them had shadows so it could of been any but they was manly looking down.

surfaces
|
These pictures are of surfaces that i took around the school there wasn't that many different surfaces to take pictures of but my favourite one is the wall with the the line in the middle because its matching on both sides and its different to the rest.

walking on by
|
This is when we had to take pictures of people walking to there next lesson because there was a lot of movement at that time. This is a good piece of street photography because its everyday life being captured in the camera.
